Welcome to Phisk, a co-blogging platform built for passionate writers, bloggers, creators, and thinkers from across Africa and around the world. At Phisk, we believe in the power of words, stories, ideas, and shared experiences. However, with great power comes great responsibility. These Community Guidelines are here to ensure that our platform remains a safe, respectful, and productive environment for everyone.
By using Phisk, you agree to abide by these guidelines. Violations may result in temporary suspension of up to six (6) months or a permanent ban from our platform, depending on the severity of the offense.
1. Respectful Communication is Non-Negotiable
Phisk is a space for intelligent discussions, thoughtful storytelling, and creative expression. We do not tolerate any form of abuse, harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks.
Do not:
- Bully, threaten, or harass other users.
- Use slurs or discriminatory language based on race, religion, gender, ethnicity, nationality, disability, or sexual orientation.
- Encourage or incite violence or self-harm.
- Share graphic or violent content with the intent to shock or offend.
Any violation of this rule will lead to immediate suspension or permanent removal from the platform without warning.
2. No Harmful, Illegal, or Deceptive Content
We strictly prohibit content that promotes illegal activities, spreads false information, or causes harm to individuals or communities.
Prohibited content includes (but is not limited to):
- Fraudulent content or scams.
- Misinformation about health, elections, or public safety.
- Promotion of terrorism, hate groups, or criminal organizations.
- Sale or promotion of illegal goods and services.
- Impersonation of other individuals or entities.
- Deepfakes or manipulated media meant to deceive.
Phisk reserves the right to take down such content and permanently ban the user responsible.
3. Intellectual Property Must Be Respected
All content shared on Phisk must be your original work or properly attributed. We take copyright and intellectual property rights seriously.
Do not:
- Copy and paste articles, stories, or media without permission or attribution.
- Upload copyrighted videos, music, or images without authorization.
- Reuse content from other platforms unless it belongs to you or you have the right to repost it.
If you report a copyright violation, we will investigate and remove the infringing content. Repeat violations will lead to account suspension or ban.
4. No Spam, Clickbait, or Malicious Links
We want quality content, not clutter. Spamming our users, manipulating traffic, or using clickbait titles degrades the experience for everyone.
Unacceptable behaviors include:
- Posting the same comment or post repeatedly.
- Using misleading titles just to attract clicks.
- Inserting malicious, harmful, or unrelated links.
- Creating fake engagement (likes, comments, follows).
Accounts involved in spamming or using deceptive tactics will face suspension or permanent termination.
5. Adult Content Policy
Phisk is a professional, creative, and inclusive space. Adult content, including nudity or sexual material, is strictly prohibited unless it is for educational, artistic, or health-related purposes and is clearly marked as sensitive.
Any explicit or inappropriate content that is shared without clear justification or proper labeling will be removed. Severe or repeat violations will result in a permanent ban.
6. Account Verification and Identity Authenticity
To build trust in our co-blogging community, all users seeking verification must submit true and legal documents. This includes:
- A valid government-issued ID (e.g., national ID, international passport, driver’s license).
- Proof of authorship or content creation (optional but encouraged for co-bloggers).
- A recent photo matching the ID submitted.
Fake or forged documents will lead to immediate account termination. Your information is safe with us and will only be used for verification purposes in line with our privacy policy.
